Josh, Emily, and Charlie

On a balmy February in Baltimore in 2017, a friend took us out on his sailboat and Josh was instantly hooked. He was looking to transition onto a boat and it was then he started looking at sailboats and embrace the minimalist lifestyle. Emily was hesitant and insisted she wouldn’t be spending much time at the marina, but found herself there more often than not. In 2019 she moved aboard and preparations began to leave Baltimore. They sailed down the east coast of the U.S., over to the Bahamas and across to Florida to settle down in Miami to go back to school and continue working. In 2024, they decided to leave Miami and sail up to Maine and start to become snowbirds.

8 years of boat life and counting!
